Clovis Unified today
Enrollment is rising. Ed-Data, which republishes state figures, lists 44,091 students for 2025–26, and the district's own count of non-charter students is 43,254. The district added 382 students that year and projects about 1,332 more over the next 10 years, not counting its online school, with universal transitional kindergarten as one driver.
The district's newest campus is just southeast of Clovis, with a Fresno address. The Terry P. Bradley Educational Center, on about 165 to 170 acres, took its first students in August 2025, when Phillip V. Sanchez Intermediate opened and Clovis South High enrolled its first freshman class. Pools and an industrial arts and aviation building were finished by August 2026. The first academic wing is expected in spring 2027, a stadium, competition gym and events center are under construction, and the full campus is expected in 2028.
More schools are planned. In June 2026 the district outlined 2 new elementary schools for 750 students each: one near Perrin and Minnewawa avenues, opening in 2030 after construction around 2028, and a second in 2032 on a site not yet chosen. A facilities bond is targeted for the 2028 ballot. In September 2026 GV Wire reported that the district is weighing a 250-acre future school site near Herndon and McCall avenues, east of Clovis city limits.
Next door to the Bradley campus, Fresno's proposed Southeast Development Area would extend to Temperance Ave. The Fresno City Council tabled that plan in September 2026, with no return date set.

Buying a home in the district
- Where it reaches
-
About 42% of the district's area is in the City of Clovis, 42% in the City of Fresno and 16% in unincorporated Fresno County, including Friant. Most of Clovis is inside it, along with much of north and northeast Fresno. Clovis West, Clovis North and Clovis South all have Fresno addresses.
- City lines are not school lines
-
A Clovis address does not guarantee Clovis Unified. Small parts of Clovis are in Fresno Unified, near Peach and Ashlan, and in Sanger Unified. In Fresno, both Clovis Unified and Fresno Unified serve parts of the city, so check the district on every listing.
- Why verify the address
-
The district's lookup assigns schools by address and grade year. New schools bring new lines: a 2023 Fresno Bee report covered boundaries for a new elementary near Fowler and McKinley avenues, then set to open in August 2024. With the Bradley campus opening in phases and 2 more elementary schools planned, check the assignment for the school year your student will enroll.
- Bonds and taxes
-
The $400 million Measure A that voters passed in November 2024 extends the bond tax rate first set in 2012. Check the property tax details on any listing.

Older than the city, unified in 1959
Clovis Unified formed in December 1959, when voters merged 6 school districts, and it opened in 1960–61. Clovis High is older than both the district and the city: it was founded in 1899 and moved to its current campus on Fowler Ave in 1969.
The district's latest expansion has been paid for with bonds. After a $408 million measure failed in March 2020 with 48% yes, short of the 55% needed, voters approved $335 million that November for the Bradley campus, heating and cooling upgrades, lockdown improvements and a theater modernization at Clark. In November 2024 they approved $400 million more to finish the campus and pay for modernizations.
